Health And Unity Sport
Our health initiatives are tailored to address critical issues affecting rural youth, including HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, and substance abuse. By providing education and resources, we aim to improve overall well-being and promote healthy lifestyles. In parallel, our sports programs encourage unity and teamwork among youths, fostering a sense of community and providing a constructive outlet for physical activity. These programs not only enhance physical health but also build resilience and social cohesion.
RAYD has used sporting events in the rural communities as a means to bring youths together and sensitise them on health issues that directly affect them. These specifically include HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, and drug abuse.
The focus of the program is on sensitising the youths on how to live a dignifying and responsible life, and how to stay gainfully occupied so as to avoid crimes.
This program also helps to build inter-cultural bonds among youths through holiday sporting activities. Youths from different cultural and religious backgrounds and living in the same community form teams to play team sports
